CATIE is a comprehensive training program for scholars in the education sciences who are interested in constructing interventions that deliver the right treatment at the right time to support the needs of students or education organizations. A three day, in-person training provides CATIE Fellows a rigorous foundation in the design, funding, conduct, and analysis of novel experimental designs for optimizing adaptive interventions—including SMART designs. Daily workshops are led by a team of d3center scientists who are experts in the design of adaptive intervention studies in education settings. Before and after the in-person training, Fellows receive mentorship and extend their learning through additional, remote events including a virtual data analytics training. The program aims to support Fellows as they develop initial research concepts into strong proposals for submission to a federal sponsor such as IES or NIH.
